“Performances by the Fedorova & Takser Duo take us back to the days of legendary piano duos such as Vronsky and Babin, as well as Josef and Rosina Lhevinne…”

– The Vancouver Chopin Society

As one of the most creative, inspiring and virtuoso piano ensembles in Canada, Duo Fedorova & Takser is recognized for its innovative projects, such as “Classical Music in 3D” in the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, “Filming the Classics with a Drone” in collaboration with renowned director D. Vardanyan (Netflix, Stories.Stream ), or “Virtual Recital” for the Vancouver Chopin Society, a project filmed and edited by the musicians themselves during the pandemic lockdown.

This recital celebrates the debut album of Duo Fedorova & Takser, recorded at the legendary Teldex Studio in Berlin with six-time Grammy Award-winning producer Martin Sauer. Teldex, one of the most prestigious studios in the world, has been the preferred choice of renowned artists such as Martha Argerich, Krystian Zimerman, Arcadi Volodos, Bruce Liu, and many others. Their album was released on the prestigious Genuin label (Leipzig) in September 2024.

Daria Fedorova and Ilya Takser are both proud graduates of the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, where they graduated in 2013. Following in the footsteps of their distinguished teacher, Canadian pianist Richard Raymond, they completed their Master’s degrees with the highest distinction, sharing the Grand Prix for their final exams.

Since 2014, the duo has been based in Vancouver, where they have established one of the city's most successful private piano studios, producing numerous national and international competition winners.

In addition, Daria produces a series of podcasts on YouTube, in which Ilya interviews famous musicians of our time.
